A Study on Mouths and Noses

Now that I have more free time on my hands, I decided that over the Holy Week that I would paint; a tribute to my late teacher, Romeliz Valenciano. However, when I tried to sketch the facial features of one of my models as a warm up, I discovered that I needed alot more than a warm up.

The following day, I marched down to Fully Booked in Greenbelt 5 and bought myself a nice new black spiral notebook (100 gsm paper <3). Everyday since, I try to do one drawing per day so that I can prepare myself before I move up to doing watercolor again.

First page was dedicated to the features I hate doing: mouths and noses. It’s funny because these are features that really define a face yet I’m so poor at it. But you know what they say, practice makes perfect.

So here’s Page 1 of my new project. I’ll be posting more works soon. 🙂

Quick Sketch and Doodles doodles doodles

These are only some of the sketches that I did back when I was in Fashion Illustration 3. In that class we had to design 6 wedding gowns, 6 Grooms’ suits, 6 ring bearer attires, 6 flower girls, a 6 pc lingerie collection and a 6 pc Holiday collection. Since I don’t have the final sketches for all of these, I decided to post a temporary entry with some doodles I did during the process of creating all 36 designs as well as some of the first few ones I did.
