Hello all! September has been really good to me. I’ve been doing alot of things such as going back to the gym (ouch) and working full time for local designer, Vania Romoff. September is also the month of features! So a couple of months back, a stylist from Mega Magazine asked to pull out some of my clothes for two shoots; one for Mega Magazine and one for the Megastyle.ph (online counterpart of Mega Mag) cover story featuring Jasmine Curtis-Smith. They featured my all time favorite oversized fluffy white sweater.
You can read the article here: http://megastyle.ph/megastyle-ph-september-2015-jasmine-curtis-smith/
There’s also a link to download the magazine in the article so go! go! go!
Last week I got some awesome news that I was chosen to be part of a magazine feature! The article will feature 10 SoFA designers from different batches. Majority of those chosen are good friends of mine so the shoot was really more of a catch-up session. The only photos I have from the shoot are selfies (actually not even because they’re photos with friends) so I grabbed a couple from Nika for this post. There’s only five of us in the photos because we were separated into two batches. They’re planning to just photoshop the two groups together for the spread.
The shoot’s theme was obviously formal but hell no am I wearing a gown (also because I don’t have one and refuse to buy one) so I went with the blazer + slacks that I bought from Zara for the Preview ball instead. It was a hit because it really made me stand out. My inside shirt is actually from ukay in case you were wondering.
We’re not allowed to share what magazine we’ll be featured in but it’s coming out next month so I’ll be able to post about it soon.
Repost from SoFA Design Institute
When Timmy tweeted me a link this afternoon, her message was screaming “!!!!!! You are featured here!!!!!!!!”. Upon opening the link, it was Manila Bulletin’s feature of the Grad Show and The Origin of Love was part of their top picks! I’m ecstatic that someone from the press felt that way about the collection despite the wardrobe malfunction during the Press Show haha. Also, I’m very happy to see that amongst all my designs, they chose to blow up my blue jumpsuit look worn by Martin Tuanquin. Till this day, I thank my lucky stars that Martin came in for the Go See because we posted that we were looking for Androgynous models (we being me).
I’m happy to be ending this day with a happy note. Recto adventure, Cooking, Yoga and this ❤
