Manggapuri Villas/Christmas 2015 in film

My family has always been on the quirky side; it’s very rare when we’re actually all together in the same place at the same time and last Christmas was no different. We were missing my older sister and her family but despite this, my dad really wanted us to get away from the city (Bacolod is nothing compared to Manila in terms of what a “city” is (it’s so much better, I promise you)) and have some family time together. I went to Seoul!

Processed with VSCOcam with acg preset

From March 7-10 to be exact. For work.

But wow, what an opportunity! This trip was definitely one for the books; partly because it was my first time travelling by myself and partly because I got to do a ton of new and fun things while I was there.

I got to meet two of my very good friends (Hanna and Yeo Seul)  while I was in Seoul, got to eat a real Samgyupsal meal, met a kind kababayan who figuratively saved my life, and walked lots and lots and LOTS of kilometres (more than 55 kilometres in 4 days to be exact!)

I promise the photos will be up soon and that there will be a step by step play of what happened during this trip. I’m still getting used to being back and shaking off the wanderlust off my clothes. But I can definitely say that Seoul has taken me, overwhelmed me and made me fall in love with it.

I’m counting down the days ’til my return.
