I first heard about Kamameshi House from Val a couple of years back. He and his parents used to travel all the way to Manila from Quezon City just to eat there. It’s funny because I have lived in Taft for 6 years and I’ve never eaten there ’til recently. Good thing my trusty sidekick is always ready to try new restaurants even without consulting Google or Looloo for ratings.
It was a lot better than I expected. Since it was situated along Zobel Roxas, I didn’t think much of it except that it had that typical Japanese restaurant look for its exterior. Inside was a whole different story! The place could easily be mistaken for one of those fancy shmancy ones in Little Tokyo and the food was two thumbs up.
Ralf asked me if he could smoke after we ate and since I brought my Zenit (loaded with ISO 400 film!), I decided to take some photos of the place
and of him smoking.
So far, I’m really satisfied with my Zenit 122. Even if it feels like a million pounds in my hand bag, it definitely yields amazing results. I know I still have to practice with my night photography but hey, neon lights always makes everything so much more interesting.
